Mi chiamo Marco Littera, sono nato a San Giovanni Suergiu, una cittadina sulla costa sud occidentale della Sardegna, il 21 maggio del 1967.
La fotografia per me non è solo un mezzo di comunicazione o un freddo insieme di pixel, ma un’espressione d’arte che deve essere in grado di trasmettere emozioni e sensazioni attraverso l’immagine che si è riusciti a catturare, fermando il tempo nel momento e nel modo giusto.
Con l’avvento del digitale, che sostituisce la meravigliosa pellicola, si tende più che a migliorare un’immagine, a stravolgere quello che è il vero intento della fotografia.
Di certo non vorrei apparire anacronistico ma mi piace pensare che la fotografia sia stata e resterà un’immagine creata dall’occhio esperto del fotografo e NON da un software del computer.
In questo sito ho inserito una parte del mio lavoro, la cui esperienza è di pura natura autodidatta, frutto della sola passione che fin da piccolo porto con me, da sempre attratto dalle immagini patinate delle riviste di moda e di sport.
My name is Marco Littera, I was born in San Giovanni Suergiu, a small town on the Southwest coast of Sardinia, on May the 21st, 1967.
For me, photography is not just a mean of communication or a cold set of pixels, but an expression of art that must be able to convey emotions and sensations through the image one has been able to capture, freezing time in the right moment and in the proper way.
With the advent of the digital, replacing the wonderful traditional film, people tend to lead the true purpose of photography astray rather than refining an image.
I do not surely want to appear anachronistic but I like to think that photography has been and always will be an image created by the keen eye of the photograph and NOT by a computer software.
In this site I uploaded part of my work, the experience of which is purely self-taught, derived solely from the passion that I carry since I was a child, attracted all along by sports and fashion magazines’ glossy images.
